Sunday Morning Small Groups - Our regular Sunday Morning Small Groups have concluded! A special thanks to our teachers and facilitators, including Steve, Gail, Gary, Brenda, Bob, Adam, Liz, Deb, and Nancy.
NEW Summer Sunday Morning Small Groups - We are coordinating Sunday morning adult small groups during the summer, starting Memorial Day! Stay after the service to reflect and discuss the sermon message (we will be in Philippians), all while enjoying fellowship and treats! There will also be a young adult group that will walk to town and back for coffee at the same time - they will discuss the sermon message along the way! Come and join us! If you have childcare needs in order to attend, please reach out!
Mid-Week Connects - Our mid-week connects are wrapping up for the year. Our Ferris Hills group now meets every other week, and the Quail Summit group meets monthly! Thank you to Mike O’Brien, who provided worship music for the Ferris Hills group at various times throughout the year.
Adult Ministry Bible Studies - As always, we have a men’s group that meets every Wednesday at 7 am at the church for breakfast, fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. We also have a group of women that meets every Thursday at 1 pm at the church (also a Bible study). The church calendar provides additional information for open events in the church.
25-35-Somethings Small Group - This group continues to meet. Recent work schedule changes have resulted in a different day for our weekly meeting. We have moved our weekly gathering to Wednesday at 4:30 pm. This group is currently on a topical series, including debate about the historicity of the resurrection, gift-giving, and more.
Share Your Story
The following words come from a participant in one of the numerous small groups we have at the church. It was inspired by last month’s Share Your Story article, which offered an approach to Bible Study. Does your small group have a story to share? Reach out to Pastor Mark!
During 2025 (and a little beyond), the Thursday morning small group read through the entire Bible using The Bible Recap reading plan and commentary by Tara Leigh Cobble. It was such a rich time of study connecting God’s plan throughout the Old and New Testaments. We recommend it! We learned so much!
The Bible Recap prayer below is to be read before each day’s reading and invites God into our learning. Maybe you would also like to read this with your Bible readings. God bless the reading of His Word!
Before you read God’s Word today, ask for His help by praying these 5 prayers:
1- God, give me wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
2- Let any knowledge I gain help me to love You and others more, and not puff me up.
3- Help me see something new about You that I’ve never seen before.
4- Correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand.
5- Direct my steps according to Your Word. Amen.
