Transportation Team: As Care Ministry Grows, So Does the Need

As Care Ministry continues to grow at The United Church, so do the opportunities to care in practical ways.

One of the simplest and most meaningful ministries is our Transportation Team. For some in our church family, getting to a doctor’s appointment or even to Sunday worship is not always easy. A temporary illness, surgery recovery, or no longer driving can quickly become isolating.

We are looking to add more volunteers so rides can be shared among a wider group. When a need arises, a message is sent out. If it works for your schedule, you respond. If not, that’s completely okay.

Volunteers need a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

We are also hoping to form a small “urgent” call list for those willing to help with last-minute needs (less than two days’ notice).

If you feel even a small nudge, we’d love to talk with you. Please reach out to Margie W., our Transportation Team Coordinator.

Sometimes care looks like prayer.

Sometimes it looks like a ride.
