Sunday School - Our Middle School and High School groups continue. MS/HS activity time at the beginning of Sunday School also continues (it has been received well). Both groups continue to use the LIVE curriculum, with Middle School going through “Bible 101” and “Growing Closer to Each Other”; and High School going through “God wants to Restore You” and “The Ordinary Becomes the Extraordinary”.
High School Youth Group (The Cause) - We have moved onto Philippians and then onto Revelation in our studies. We are currently using a small group format, with large group sharing and teaching at the end. Our youth band continues to practice and grow, with plans for Sunday morning worship!
Youth Club Middle School Group Bible Study - This class is following the same studies as the high school group. We have recently changed how we conduct our Bible study; now, we move the students upstairs early for announcements, and then into a longer Bible study, splitting the group into 4 small groups, before ending with large group sharing and teaching (like the HS’ers). We are thankful for our facilitators (Ed Blance, Jen Callard, and Lauren Slomski).
School District Connects - Our mid-week connects continue, with Victor, Marcus Whitman, and Canandaigua school districts. Our Canandaigua connect in February saw numerous new students and parents show up!
Special Events (Recap & Looking Forward) -
- Youth Ice Skating Event - Our middle-school heavy group enjoyed their time at the ice rink, and also enjoyed games and a devotional at church.
- Annual Meeting Fundraiser - This was well-supported by our youth; with a little under $400 raised. Proceeds are split between youth missions and ministries.
- Chicken BBQ Fundraiser - We were offered one Saturday (May 23) for a chicken BBQ. We are sending the contract to them shortly, and are raising funds for Youth missions and ministries.
- Retreats & Dates - Youth (Aug 15 @ Onanda); Adult (Oct. 24 @ Onanda); Men (TBD); Young Adult (TBD)
