Summer often brings a change in the regular rhythm of church life. Many groups take a break from meeting during the week, which can mean fewer opportunities for connection for some of our Senior Companions. This makes it especially important to find other ways to stay in touch with those in our church family who may find it harder to attend worship services or church activities regularly.
Beginning in July, cards and a list of names and addresses for our Senior Companions will be available in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like to participate. Simply choose a name, write a short note of encouragement or a friendly hello, and help brighten someone’s day. Cards, names, and addresses will be provided.
This simple ministry is one more way we can remind those navigating health concerns, mobility challenges, or other life changes that they are remembered, cared for, and still very much a part of our church family.
