Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Care Ministry Volunteer Potluck and for the delicious food you generously brought to share. It was a lively and joyful time together as volunteers visited, laughed, and enjoyed getting to know one another.
Following lunch, Nancy B. led a short interactive discussion around our theme, “Connecting with Others.” Around our tables we reflected on questions such as what helps us connect with someone, what can unintentionally send a message of not caring, and how we naturally bring faith into conversation. It was a meaningful reminder that simple connection is at the heart of every care ministry; whether sharing a meal, offering companionship, or giving someone a ride to an appointment.
