Senior Companion Dorothy S. is celebrating her 91st birthday this month. Currently Dorothy is living at the Geneva Living Center but was active in the United Church for years. As a child she remembers when the Baptist Church burned. Dorothy has spent much of her life on a farm. She was crowned Cherry Pie Queen at age 15 and competed in Chicago and placed 5th in the nation. Her favorite pies though are pumpkin and sweet potato.. As a young woman, she obtained her nursing degree but chose to get married and raised 5 sons. Dorothy loves birds and always enjoyed watching them at her feeders. She enjoys doing word searches and visiting with family and friends.
